Severus is prickly, resistant, and stubborn in the extreme, and the things that happen to him will have you laughing yourself right out of your chair. And oh dear god, the sex. I think it melted not only my monitor, but everything within a foot of it. This sex scene needs to come with some kind of warning label. Not to be read near flammables, maybe. Anyway... after the hilarity and hotness, the story has a great healing and romance to it all in the end.

Okay. So I've been using GIMP for about two years now and generally as long as I have high quality photos to work with and with a lot of practice I'm fairly satisfied with the outcome of most everything I make. I never try to make anything terribly fancy with it but I feel like if I had the tools I could do a lot more graphic wise.

So I looked into getting Photoshop a while back and I just checked again tonight and it says that CS4 is $700 unless you're upgrading, where it's $200.

So, my question is, for all those using Photoshop did you really pay $700 for it? If not, how did you get your hands on it?

I guess this could go for PSP too, althought that's only listed as $60 on their wesbite, would users of that program recommend it as comparable to Photoshop?

My beta button is broken.

In the last month and a half or so, I've betaed somewhere around 10 fics totaling 75K words. (That's a rough estimate; I didn't actually count and I might be forgetting a fic or two.) On top of that, I've proofread the majority of the Kinky Kristmas fics as they've come in. At this point, I don't have it in me to do much more. The thought of betaing anything sort of fills me with a sense of dread, and I'm not sure I could spot a typo right now if it stood up and mooned me anyway.

This story shows exactly how these two could be great together without either having to relinquish control or change who they are. I can't flail about this one enough; just... read it!

Filch's voice is wonderful, and I adore his view of Snape and all of his little observation about Snape's character.
